Our team determined six primary regions which, when damaged by a stroke, may increase a patient's likelihood of developing depression.

Images for Depressed (hot) and Non-Depressed (cold) stroke patients were overlaid within their groups to create two density maps. The "hot" portions of this map on the left indicate regions most significantly associated with development of depression. These images were developed and displayed using SPM and bspmview for MATLAB.

IMPLEMENTATION

The six most prevalent regions associated with development of depression following a stroke were reconstructed as an interactive three-dimensional image using Mango.
