Visualizing Regions of Interest for Stroke-Associated Depresson
For 100 stroke patients, MRI scans were normalized and segmented using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM12) for MATLAB. Normalizing the images reduced variability between patients, so regions of the brain affected by a stroke could be more easily identified. Segmentation was conducted using Lesion Prediction Algorithm (LPA) for Lesion Segmentation Tool (LST) within the SPM12 user interface.
